YEAR 10

From Monday 2nd December to Friday 13th December, all Year 10 students will be sitting their autumn assessments. Students will attend all lessons as normal, unless they have a formalised mock sitting at that time and assessments will continue to take place during the normal academy day, throughout the rest of the fortnight.

Students will only have CORE subjects and Modern Foreign Language listening exams in the hall. Students will receive an additional personalised timetable that includes the subjects and tiers, they will be sitting.

These autumn assessments are a very important start to their GCSE period of study. This will give us a clear indication of their progress to date and where we will be able to get an idea of the grades students are working at, as well as what gaps in knowledge they might have, which we can look to close.

I would encourage you to ensure they revise thoroughly before the exams so they can achieve the best outcome possible. Please refer to the revision lists click here

All students are expected to arrive and attend tutor time promptly at 8:30am and come fully prepared, including bringing all writing and specialist equipment and their ID cards. All examination regulations in relation to mobile phones, other electronic devices and conduct must be adhered to during these assessments. Students will be removed from assessments if they fail to follow these rules.

We will provide data reports for all Year 10 students to give feedback on their performance in these assessments and these should be with you by the end of the Academic year.

Please contact subject teachers with any questions or queries.
