Attendance Information

We want to work in partnership with you to ensure we secure the best possible outcomes and life chances for your child. The law entitles every child of compulsory school age to formal education. Therefore, it is our responsibility to work together to help every child receive that education, by ensuring regular attendance.

Parents are expected to: ensure their child attends every day the school is open except when a statutory reason applies.

Notify the school as soon as possible when their child has to be unexpectedly absent (e.g. sickness) and to inform the school every day the child is absent after this.

Only request leave of absence in exceptional circumstances and do so in advance.

Book any medical appointments around the school day where possible. Notify the school as soon as possible when you have Booked any medical appointments or any other appointments. (Department for Education).
