Ranveer, Year 10, Runs His Own Accounting Business
Ranveer, Year 10, already has his own accounting business with 10 paying clients. He decided from an early age that he wanted to be an accountant and now juggles his accountancy alongside his schoolwork.
Ranveer said: “I have always known what I wanted to do – I decided when I wanted to be an accountant was when I was 12 years old. It isn’t that hard juggling school and my business, I haven’t had that much stress. My clients are surprised when they find out my age, but my friends find what I do quite inspiring." He hopes to spend the £3,000 he has already made over the last three years on a holiday.
“Everyone loves what I do and people are very supportive of my business – my parents are impressed with how far I have come and how I have managed to do this all on my own. My plan for the future is to become a millionaire and expand my business. I am quite independent and never had to ask help for every decision I take as I am a risk taker.”
Ranveer completed an online accounting course to achieve a Level 3 CPD Basic Accounting certificate aged 12 and won the Tech Business of the Year prize at the Ultra Education Kids Business Awards in 2017.
He added: “I decided to set up my business because I realised there was a gap in the market and I thought I’d be good at it, so I just thought ‘why not start my own business?’ I wanted to do something that I was passionate about – which was that I loved helping people especially with money and helping them start up a business – but I wanted to make my business for young entrepreneurs, like me."
