Year 7 Harris Federation Netball Tournament
The year 7 Federation Tournament took place on the 7th March at Crystal Palace Leisure Centre. Our team went into the tournament with a positive attitude, excited about representing their school in their first Federation Tournament. Eight Academies took part on the Federation Netball Tournament. The matches were played over 3 courts and lasted approximately 8 minutes each.
Our tournament started by losing our first game 4-0 to Harris Academy Falconwood. Students reassessed tactics and made a few substitutions meaning we won our next match 3-0 against Harris Merton. Students' spirits were high and the year 7 team reflected on each game. Unfortunately we lost our next game to Crystal Palace 1-0, although it was a very strong game from our girls as they made sure they had a strong defense in place. We later went on to draw a game against Harris Beckenham and win a game 2-0 against Harris Bromley. During our final match, we unfortunately lost 4-0 against Harris Purley. The Invictus netball girls played with pride and determination. A special well done to Ebony Dokou for scoring the majority of the goals and Kelis Walker for keeping the team motivated.
Overall we were positioned 4Th place.
The team included: Kelis Walker, Saoirse Booysen, Ebony Dokou, Renae Ebanks, Shannon Austin, Leanne Williams, Sofiane Matuwidi and Kera Allen.
