Library and Literacy Lessons

  • KS3 students have regularly timetabled, fortnightly library sessions. They are introduced to new books, and new genres with a focus on improving and enjoying their reading. The librarian organises various reading sessions in library lessons such as silent reading, guided reading sessions for struggling users, and independent reading sessions for confident users.
  • When not attending timetabled library lessons, students complete literacy activities with their English teachers.
