The Year 11 Subject Market

“On Wednesday afternoon, Year 11 were invited to take part in a Subject Marketplace to ‘browse’ the different subject areas ahead of Post-16 choices. Each subject hosted their own exhibition: from textbooks, to flyers and exam board Specification documents through to Science 3D models! The Heads of Subject spoke at length about what their subject at Post-16 had to offer students, such as Titrations in Chemistry, Poetry in English Literature, or Field trips in Geography!

New to the Invictus curriculum next year includes: Government & Politics, Modern Foreign Languages and Vocational Sports in collaboration with the Kinetic Academy Foundation! Students had the opportunity to discuss with the Heads of Subjects what the course would entail and what potential career pathways they are interested in.

Overall, the students managed to have informative discussions, take away useful printed material and, find out more about subjects they had (or possibly hadn’t) already considered.

We look forward to gaining an enthusiastic cohort of Invictus Year 12s in September 2021!”
