Year 11 Study Skills Trip to Hindleap Warren
Our Year 11 Study Skills residential trip took place this month at Hindleap Warren residential centre. Students had an amazing time and the intensive lessons, team-building, study skills and problem-solving talks will help them shine in their GCSE exams.
The students have really enjoyed the residential and been amazing. They really lived our motto: “We Know, We Can, We Will”. A huge thank you to our amazing staff who gave up their own time to make the trip such a success.
Group 1 engrossed in a study skills session led by our very Mr Singh.
It’s rock climbing for Group 2. Fantastic effort all round. Great resilience in overcoming fear of heights and placing their trust in other people.
It might be wet and raining outside but Year 11 are warm and dry in one of their intensive Maths, English and Science sessions. Small groups are being taught by our own expert teachers as part of the whole Study Skills Residential experience.
‘We Know. We Can. We Will.’ Our mottos applies to everything we do. Working as part of a team tests our communication and problem solving skills.
There’s teamwork and independence at mealtimes. Groups take responsibility for canteen chores to support centre staff. The bonus, it’s a great view out the window!
It’s the leap of faith for the Year 11s. Eight meters up, toes on the edge and jump for the bar. Trust, composure and courage were all mentioned by the group.
Group description and miming games reinforce revision techniques. Then it was outside for map reading and a night walk to test our teamwork. Plenty of ambition in the acting skills on display!
After a day of hard work, time for some silly games!
A huge thank you to everyone who made the trip so memorable and successful for our students!
