Othello Trip - March 2015

Earlier this month, a number of students visited the Globe Theatre in London to watch the latest production of 'Othello'. Exploring themes of ambition, trust, prejudice, betrayal and jealousy, this was a show that was certain to leave students mesmerized.

The visit was made possible by the Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank campaign, designed to help students access and experience Shakespeare in performance for the first time. 

Aided by parachutes, zip wires the students were immersed into the full Elizabethan theatre experience.  The nature of the production meant students could interact with the cast and even got to wave flags in celebration of Othello’s momentous victory over the Turkish fleet.
